Opened on March 2, BBQ2U is a new BBQ restaurant that’s brought some never-seen-before dishes for its customers. According to the owner, Gary Parker, it is meant to be Texas BBQ restaurant in all the ways – from its cafeteria style with counter service to the vibes. the restaurant is cafeteria style with complete counter service, meaning diners are served everything at the counter.

You can grab your drinks from the cold case in the restaurant and hot dishes from the front counter. Meats are prepared here and then served on a big tray that doubles up as your tray. Next is just find yourself a table and enjoy your meal.
On the right side of the front counter, there is serve-yourself fountain sodas, dill pickle, pickled jalapenos and more items to enhance the taste of your barbecue dish. Furthermore, you’ll find barbecue sauce on each table, so there’s no need to struggle for that.
The dining area is quite casual yet comfortable from its decor to the friendly staff. The diner has low frill seating featuring wood tables, metal chairs for two to four diners on each table. Gary Parker has to leave Central Texas barbecue 20 years ago to work at Intel in DuPont. But he always missed the traditional barbecue of this region. Now with this restaurant, he is aiming to deliver the best of what he can.
On the menu, you can expect California-style pulled pork, brisket, pork ribs, beef ribs, smoked chicken thighs, sausage, and smoked turkey breast. Meats are not served sauced, so you need to add that from the ones that are available on each dining table. Besides meat, you get fried okra, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and banana pudding.
