Bringing sous vide cooking to grilling, Cinder Precision Grill is a perfect geat to prepare meat, paninis or anything else you want with minimal effort. Instead of appealing to the health-conscious home cooks, the Cinder is more intended towards those who want to cook their food at precise temperatures. This way they can get the exact taste with the same results every time they cook.
Just like any other sous vide device, Cinder grill comes integrated with Bluetooth technology to let you dial in an exact cooking temperature. The only difference is that instead of a water bath, this device uses two nonstick plates that heat meat steaks to your desired temperature. The nonstick plates are embedded with temperature sensors, creating a 9-by-10-inch controlled-temperature sandwich for heating your steak, fish, chicken, or veggies from above and below.
The Cinder has a power button on the lower front outer case and also features an LCD screen and knob with an LED indicator light around it. You can lift the top up by a black handle to reveal separate buttons for releasing the upper and lower cook plates for easier cleaning. Even the drip tray pulls all the way out, and it’s one of the only dishwasher-safe parts of the appliance.
It can heat up as high as 450 degrees Fahrenheit, a temperature meant for searing your steak or chicken once you’ve slowly cooked it at a much lower temperature. It comes with a companion smartphone app that takes control of the entire cooking process and temperature maintenance to provide you the perfectly cooked steak.
The Cinder’s batch is estimated to ship in December 2017, though preorders are available now for $499. If you have ample counter space and are tired of burning your chicken, the Cinder is an apt device to change your cooking life.
